AI Yearbook Digitization - Internship
February 2025 - Present
Work with the head of the engineering department at Charlotte Latin School to use AI/ML(Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning) tools to digitize all the paper year books from 1970 to 2025 of Charlotte Latin School and build an user-friendly search engine API. Used many different tools including coding in python, AWS software, Landing.AI, and more.
Research Project - Optimal Transport
Summer 2025
Under the guidance of a professor at UNCC Mathematics Department, conducted independent research on optimal transport theory (one of the hottest topics in Math in last decade), exploring its mathematical foundations, and implementing linear programming to solve real world applications. Studied both theoretical aspects and real-world applications, including resource allocation and logistics. Produced a comprehensive research report synthesizing findings, examples, and problem-solving approaches.
NC Governor’s School
Summer 2025
Selected for four-week summer residential program for gifted and talented high school students in North Carolina, integrating academic disciplines, the arts, and unique courses. Focused on the exploration of the most recent ideas and concepts in each discipline. Concentrated on mathematical theory and their applications. Created an AI model using machine learning and statistics to predict egg prices as a final project.
Chinese Education Company - Volunteer
Summer 2024 - May 2025
Volunteer work with Chinese education company (Bamboo English Education, website http://www.yunzhixue.cn/index#about) to help develop code to create an AI tool to categorize English article reading difficulty levels based on the Lexile metric. This tool is used to help teachers efficiently and quickly find the right level of article for students in China to use when learning about English. Open AI’s GPT models (Large Language Models) are used for this project.
Research/Camp
Cisco Certified Technician
September 2024 - December 2024
A cyber security and networking course outside of school to gain knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and principles. Attended nightly classes twice a week, hands-on labs with networking tools, and earned an entry-level CCST certificate by passing the exam.

Worked at the Charlotte Latin IT Office to set up and configured campus technology to support classrooms and events for the upcoming school year.
